motivation hole
Despite many newsworthy events, such as the Bochum tournament 2010 or in September, already initiated, Go-League or The forthcoming German Go Championship in St. Augustine, converges the number of new posts here Go in the Café strongly to zero. This is because the infected Bloggomat currently in a deep hole motivation. Such phases are found again and again and usually last one to two weeks, months or even years. So exactly you never know. Why is this, I can not say. Probably the weather!

Wiesbaden 2010
Last week we took the team bus to Wiesbaden Siegburg tournament again. Also present were the usual suspects Uli Frink 8k, 6k Peter Schäfer, Torsten Knauf 4d and Bloggomat 1k. Only Thomas Brucksch 1k wanted this time not with. He preferred instead to continue as a supervisor of the very successful team Niederkassel the HPM to Munich. People say that the only reason that we been granted, was comfortable around half past eight direction Wiesbaden break (and not, as in Gronig to this time are already at the venue). We came because of these planning large power at very punctual.

People say that the only reason that we been granted, was comfortable around half past eight direction Wiesbaden break (and not, as in Gronig to this time are already at the venue). We came because of these planning large power at very punctual. waited with us willing to play a total of 40 in Wiesbaden Palace of Culture (photo M. Seibel ) to the kickoff of the tournament. Jana Hollmann 1d had hoped the general coordinators, many more participants and led the supposed absence of the very autumnal, not to say bad weather returned. To underscore the autumn component clearly all the doors and windows had been opened wide open for hours spear. I was not the only one who has been frozen while almost the ass and I was really glad my thick jacket motorcycle to have had it.
With only 15 minutes late, it was then really got going. 5 rounds were played with 30 minutes of reflection and Hessian Byoymi to German Sudden Death. After the first two laps I had then become much warmer. This was probably due to the combination of fast play, hot coffee and windows. After two games we went to lunch, who spent the Siegburg-Connection at a fine Italian restaurant. As a starter, we had fresh mussels in white wine sauce. Actually, a delicacy, but Peter said that the shells would make his stomach on Atari and waived thanks. Unfortunately for him, more for us!
I do not know if it was now time for the shells, but we lost all our third tournament game. For Torsten especially bitter because he was in his game against the eventual champions Young Rhee 6d from Chicago / USA well forward and threw them away easily. In the end, he finished with a 3-2 in third place. Uli and I also played 3-2, only Peter had to settle for a 2-3. If he had ever eaten more shells!
Ironically, no one managed to play the tournament 4-1, so awarded at the presentation ceremony were hardly prices. Fortunately there was still The "How many bricks are-in-the-box?" guessing game in which there was then just five winners. There were a lot of nice prizes to choose from and the Bloggomat even had the good fortune to be able to take those with a home. So if that was not successful Sunday outing! Anyway, the one-day tournaments for me its special charm and are an enrichment of the tournament circuit. I hope it goes well again in 2011 in the Palace of Culture in Wiesbaden.

The new ISHIDA: TAKAO
Joseki are a fundamental part of the Go. They are formulaic move sequences in the corners of the board and may also extend over the edge. They are characterized by clear rational Trains from and lead to a mutually (almost) break-even. Who was studied Joseki, yet not the ISHIDA, a three-volume Encyclopedia Joseki-around. The ISHIDA showed the basic Joseki all its forms and variations, is the hidden Tesuji, the life-and-death issues and evaluated the different end positions. They said only a thorough reading of the breakthrough to bring ISHIDA Dan player.
The ISHIDA has long been the standard work, but written in the 1970s, he is getting on in years and no longer reflects the latest developments of Go. It was high time for an updated edition. The "new ISHIDA" is TAKAO now. Takao Shinji 9p is the author of a new current-Joseki Dictionary, which contains all the important innovations of recent years and in the nature and scope based on the old dictionary. Kido Cup Hamburg
For the second time took place last weekend of the Kido-Cup in Hamburg. A tournament of superlatives. Eight professionals on site, 5500 € prize money, plus a mixed tournament Top16-main, women's and youth tournament. The biggest Goturnier after the Congress in Tampere wanted to be a man. But unfortunately, this expectation was not fulfilled entirely, for well over 50 pre-registered and did not appear at the end, a total of "only" 166 players participate in the main event. One less than in the monkey jump and nearly 60 fewer than at Easter in Paris. The non-published Pre-registered and the tournament gemsichte system provided for a minimum one-hour delay in the draw. To avoid further time to fall behind, was in the first round decided not to loose by rating. This caused yet isolated for expressions of discontent, was not to alter it.
Nevertheless it was very busy international tournament a great success. So many top European players and Asian professionals have to drum up only once on a weekend. A remarkable performance that would not be appropriate without sponsorship from Korea have been possible. The good will of the Koreans to promote Baduk in Europe, is actually a godsend for us Gospieler in this country. Martin Stiassny 2k (our EGF-president) has done so much behind the scenes of the tournament lobby to hope in the future on similar support may.
has won the spectacle of the Top16 players Csaba Mero 6d, could prevail in Endpiel against Benjamin Teuber 6d. In the main event was after 5 rounds in January Prokop 4d from Prague in front. The ladies prize Rita Poscai 4d won from Hungary and the youth award went to Andrew Staelens 2d. The longest journey the way, had a 7-year-old boy from Madrid (Oscar Vázquez 7k), who came especially for this tournament with his father in Hamburg. That's what I call enthusiasm!
Not quite as successful to beat the only two players from the Go-Bonner sphere of influence. Torsten won only one of four games and I went there with two victories only slightly better. For me, after all, an increase on previous tournaments in Hamburg, where it went 1-4 with a regular home. The Hanseatic city is holding a hot pavement. ;)
But you go not just to win the tournaments, at least not on Kyu-level and if you are already Ü-40. Extremely important are the social contacts, the old nose, which one looks back at shows and with which you hold one or the other Pläuschchen. At the weekend I met by chance on 2 ½ Gospieler who, like me for a while Granada Go there, have lived and played. The course had to be on a picture (above) noted. (From left to right: Marco 1k, 6k Yvonne, and Axel Javier 1k 2k (½).) Even if it was players not quite as great, for such a meeting, the long journey was worth the same.

Ewert plus Stihl same Hensel
Last weekend was at times no Goturnier, but a much nicer event, namely the marriage of two Gopsieler friend from St. Augustine. Jane Stihl and Rainer Ewert gave the vows and invited for this occasion can be a great celebration. Almost 50 years it took before, Rainer could bring themselves to enter the port of marriage. But with the right woman at the side is known to all. was from Raider Twix was years ago, from Ewert and Stihl wishes this weekend Hensel and the Go-cafe give the newly married couple all the best for the future years together.

But with the right woman at the side is known to all. was from Raider Twix was years ago, from Ewert and Stihl wishes this weekend Hensel and the Go-cafe give the newly married couple all the best for the future years together. the start of the celebration has botched the Bloggomat due to "technical" problems total. The invitation was subjected for 18 clock, but as a last resort guests, we arrived shortly after 20 clock. Since not only the groom's speech was long since died away and eaten the appetizer, main course and was gone for the most part in the stomachs of the guests. Among these guests, among many relatives, friends and colleagues, a few hand-picked Gospieler. From southern Germany Burkhard Landskron 1d was with his wife and Bernd Sokolowsky 1d arrived without his wife. From Oldenburg Manfred Diers was there and 3k from Bonn Rainer 3d shooter, along with Julia and Bloggomat 1k 5k.
As it should be, all board players sat at a table in the corner of the room. It would not have been surprised if suddenly a Gobrett would have landed on the table, but Mr. Hensel 1d forbade Go ahead expressly disclaims any activities. For Gospielen also no time would have been because it was a lot of talk, sing, dance and laugh. Burkhard's wife has for example provided with a seeing-and worth listening to singing performance in the mood.
cleared during the evening then, gradually, the Company, for the not so young guests made after numerous glasses of beer and wine to gradually worn out. Julia had settled already at a quarter past eleven, to go to a Salsa Event (ugly thing). To one of the Gospielerfraktion was only Manfred, Rainer and me. The last train to Bonn was scheduled to 2:08 clock, but Rainer was announced, that it would probably also a half an hour earlier. Then we came home on the spur of the withdrawal direction and made us in good faith on the way to the station. actually arrived on time at the bus stop, we had to find that the train unfortunately was for 3 Minten away. This was followed by 35 nice waiting minutes (without Gobrett), which were surpassed only by the incipient realization that I had my house keys in the car my wife leave. With their Eintreffn at home was half past three to be expected. This struck me at the moment before just as a sub-total Selbstatari in the final. In any case, that meant for me another time out on the doorstep, even by counting passing car could not really be shortened. A failed Fuseki was crowned with a botched Yose. Just like many of my Gopartien. And what we learn from this? Never go without Gobuch from home!

Last weekend I was in spite of heavy continuous rain at the Cologne Goturnier. The crappy weather that was the best thing we could do it. Meeting old friends, play a few games, the usual stuff. Has to give it back a lot of fun. So much fun that I like it on Monday to play in the evening to Rosa Lu rushed. Since I had not been for some time.
When I arrived against 20 clock was zunächts only as Michael, as usual, the big cigar puffing his fist. A short time later was added René, who immediately unpacked his pipe and began to smoke also. Michael left, right, René and I the middle of it as passive smokers. As the saying goes, "right there with you". The operation came and I wanted to order a mask, but then left it for a cappuccino.
I wanted to throw to eat before playing something else, but I could not read the menu through the thick smoke properly. The eyes began to burn, and I wondered so slow, what am I doing here. I looked around the room was full of smokers. Despite low hanging clouds of smoke I discovered a newly hung posters over the counter, on which was thick with letters SMOKING LOUNGE on it. For my taste there was definitely a lot of O in the word!
Too much is it now become to me as well. Since mid-2008 is the Nichtraucherschutgesetz for restaurants in North Rhine-Westphalia and the last two years, Rosa Lu should actually be completely smoke free, especially not to order a few guests to eat there too. " Nothing has happened since 2008, except that puff away even more. I found that already are disgusting just how much the clothes stink of smoke after the game night. Now it means to me Rosa Lu = No Go. Fortunately, there are in Bonn and its surroundings are other game nights.

The Cheesboard Cherry Tree
His most intimate friends among his retainers had tried hard to reform his manners after losing at go; but it was hopeless. All those who won from him he struck in the face with a heavy iron fan, such as was carried by warriors in those days; and he would just as readily have drawn his sword and cut his best friend's head off as be interfered with on those occasions. To be invited to
play go with their lord was what all his bold samurai dreaded most. At last it was agreed among them that sooner than suffer the gross indignity of being struck by him when they won they would let him win. After all, it did not much matter, there being no money on the game. Thus Sayemon's game grew worse and worse, for he never learned anything; yet in his conceit he thought he was better than everybody.
On the 3rd of March, in honour of his little daughter O Chio, he gave a dinner-party to his retainers. The 3rd of March is the Dolls' Day (Hina-no-sekku)—the day upon which girls bring out their dolls. People go from house to house to see them, and the little owners offer you sweet white saké in a doll's cup with much ceremony. Sayemon, no doubt, chose this day of feasting as a compliment to his daughter—for he gave sweet white saké after their food, to be drunk to the health of the dolls, instead of men's saké, which the guests would have liked much better. Sayemon himself absolutely disliked sweet saké. So as soon as the feast was over he called Saito Ukon, one of his oldest and most faithful warriors, to come and play go with him, leaving the others to drink. Ukon, curiously enough, had not played with his lord before, and he was delighted that he had been chosen. He had made up his mind to die that evening after giving his master a proper lesson.
In a luxuriously decorated room there was placed a goban (chessboard) with two go-cases containing the men, which are made of white and black stones. The white stones are usually taken by the superior player and the black by the inferior. Without any apology or explanation,
Sayemon's temper began to work up; but he did not show it. So many games of go had his retainers allowed him to win lately, he was fully confident that he should win again, and that Ukon would have in addition to apologise for presuming to take the white stones.
The game ended in a win for Ukon.
'I must have another game,' said Sayemon. 'I was careless in that one. I will soon show you how I can beat you when I try.'
Again Sayemon was beaten—this time not without losing his temper, for his face turned red, his eyes looked devilish, and with a bullying voice full of passion he roared for a third game.
This also Ukon won. Sayemon's wrath knew no bounds. Seizing his iron fan, he was about to smite Ukon a violent blow in the face. His opponent caught him by the wrist, and said:
'My Lord, what ideas have you about games? Your Lordship seems to think curiously about them! It is the better player who wins; while the inferior must fail. If you fail to beat me at go, it is because you are the inferior player. Is this manner of your Lordship's in taking defeat from a superior up to the form of bushido in a samurai, as we are taught it? Be counselled by me, your faithful retainer, and be not so hasty with your anger—it ill befits one in your Lordship's high position.' And, with a look full of reproof at Sayemon, Ukon bowed almost to the ground.
'You insolent rascal!' roared Sayemon. 'How dare you speak to me like that? Don't move! Stand as you are, with your head bowed, so that I may take it off.'
'Your sword is to kill your enemies, not your retainers and friends,' said Ukon. 'Sheathe your sword, my Lord. You need not trouble yourself to kill me, for I have already done seppuku in order to offer you the advice which I have given, and to save all others. See here, my Lord!' Ukon opened his clothes and exhibited an immense cut across his stomach.
Sayemon stood for a minute taken aback, and while he thus stood Ukon spoke to him once more, telling him how he must control his temper and treat his subjects better.
On hearing this advice again Sayemon's passion returned. Seizing his sword, he rushed upon Ukon, and, crying, 'Not even by your dying spirit will I allow myself to be advised,' made a furious cut at Ukon's head. He missed, and cut the go-board in two instead. Then, seeing that Ukon was dying rapidly, Sayemon dropped beside him, crying bitterly and saying:
'Much do I regret to see you thus die, oh faithful Ukon! In losing you I lose my oldest and most faithful retainer. You have served me faithfully and fought most gallantly in all my battles. Pardon me, I beg of you! I will take your advice. It was surely a sign by the gods that they were displeased at my conduct when they made me miss your head with my sword and cut the go-board.'
Ukon was pleased to find his lord at last repentant. He said:
'I shall not even in death forget the relation between master and servant, and my spirit shall be with you and watch over your welfare as long as you live.'
Then Ukon breathed his last.
Sayemon was so much moved by the faithfulness of Ukon that he caused him to be buried in his own garden, and he buried the broken go-board with him. From that time on the Lord Sayemon's conduct was completely reformed. He was good and kind to all his subjects, and all his people were happy.
A few months after Ukon's death, a cherry tree sprang out of his grave. In three years the tree grew to be a fine one and bloomed luxuriantly.
On the 3rd of March in the third year, the anniversary of Ukon's death, Sayemon was surprised to find it suddenly in bloom. He was looking at it, and thinking of watering it himself, as usual on that day, when he suddenly saw a faint figure standing by the stem of the tree. Just as he said, 'You are, I know, the spirit of faithful Saito Ukon,' the figure disappeared. Sayemon ran to the tree, to pour water over the roots, when he noticed that the bark of some feet of the stem had all cracked up to the size and shape of the squares of a go-board! He was much impressed. For years afterwards—until, in fact, Sayemon's death—the ghost of Ukon appeared on each 3rd of March.
A fence was built round the tree, which was held sacred; and even to the present, they say, the tree is to be seen.
IN olden times, long before The Misfortunes of Europeanisation came to Japan, there lived at Kasamatsu, in Nakasatani, near Shichikwai mura Shinji gun, Hitachi Province, a hotheaded old Daimio, Oda Sayemon. His castle stood on the top of a pine-clad hill about three miles from what is now known as Kamitachi station on the Nippon Railway. Sayemon was noted for his bravery as a soldier, for his abominable play at go (or goban), and for his bad temper and violence when he lost, which was invariably.
His most intimate friends among his retainers had tried hard to reform his manners after losing at go; but it was hopeless. Sayemon's temper began to work up; but he did not show it. So many games of go had his retainers allowed him to win lately, he was fully confident that he should win again, and that Ukon would have in addition to apologise for presuming to take the white stones.

Finally, there are enough other idiots who also have no idea, see logo to the left. One of the erfolgreichstens rowing teams in the world knows its true place in the world elite and the skillfully shows the logo to the outside. had started the blog in 2006 with an English title, namely Makko's Go Café . Here, more than the accent on the final e was to criticize, but I wanted to at least this little personal Note enjoy. To reach the largest possible audience, was originally being considered to write the blog in English. But it soon turned out that this task was too strenuous for me and the blog for this reason threatened to respond. In fact, I've written my knowledge, hardly a presentation in English. As was clear at last that there was to read, only contributions in German, the apostrophe disappeared from the title and it came to Makkos Go Café .
One could argue even if hereby "Makkos Go" café Makkos or "Go-Cafe meant. In both cases, the Germans won put a hyphen. What remained was only the argument that the Depp character space could be regarded as a trademark of Bloggomaten for the often senseless posts. Since I can not guarantee, however, continue to publish future posts mostly meaningless, ultimately, even this bastion fell. The Go-Cafe operates from now on only with smart hyphen! read

Hier noch das Manifest von der EuroGoPro-Webseite:
The Top European Players attending the 54th European Go Congress have decided to create a Professional Go Organisation in partnership with EuroGoTV.
There are a lot of top European players who are already completely devoting their lives to teaching and studying Go. The level of European Go is already very high, with many of us having studied in the Orient, and a lot of us have obtained the rank of professionals in Asia. The time is now ripe to form a professional Go organisation for Europe too. The European Professional Go Organisation will run a European Professional Go League, a year long competion that provides professional status for 12 top european players every year.
We believe that the breakthrough we need to reach the same level as the Orient is to form an organisation which allows Europeans access to high level playing conditions together with a perfect environment for studying. We hope that European Go fans will see the rise of new European stars who can compete on even terms with the world's top players.
This Organisation is the first of its kind in Europe. We are looking forward to cooperation with the European Go Federation, the National Go Associations of Europe as well as the Go Organisations of the Far East.

Dopgs Nipples Swollen And Dry?
Ilya Shikshin Go European Champion 2010
Even before the 10th Round of the game met the Berufungskommittee Dinerstein-Van Zeijst, the first van was Zeijsts Clock expired. The referee decision with the previous day was revised and the Russians got the point awarded. Then the Dutch put again appealed, but failed it. I say yes, at the Hochdan hear the fun on the go, the only victory counts in the end, no matter how it came about. This new Tabellenmsituation then led for the final round of the crucial pairs Artem Kachanovskyy 6d 7d JungHyeop against Kim and Ilya Shikshin 7d (Photo / JvDam ) against Alexander Dinerstein 5p. Oops, Ilya against Alex, that cries out for yes "Yaocho! Yaocho is the Japanese term for an arranged result in sport. One can regularly experience in sumo tournaments, washed out at the tournaments often times the other hand. Although which is of course always denied it because of collusion. Anyway, it was clear in my mind that this "fratricidal struggle" of the family thought was in the foreground. Not surprisingly then Ilya won his game and now it was alone on Artem, who would be European champions 2010th
Artem had with Kim JungHyeop 7d caught a not so willing opponent and had to fight hard. This he did till you drop. The Parie went over 300 trains and was more than just. But it was not to be, in the end defeated Artem paper thin with 0.5 points! That was a real thriller to beat! An excellent performance by the young Ukrainian, which I had indulged in the title really. Too bad for him, lucky for Ilya, who thus may in turn forward to the second European title after 2007 in Villach. Congratulations to both! The complete results of all 459 participants by the way you can read HERE .
Best German was 16th on the divided Place with 6 wins and Stefan Kaitschik 5d from Hamburg. Torsten Knauf 4d could win five times and finished as the best "Bonn" ranked 43rd His defeated opponents of 5d were three, and even a 6 d, however, came from Japan. A mature performance from our top players from St. Augustine. My forecast is that it determines the next congress in Bordeaux will already be 5d. Also have five wins Rainer also Ewet 1d, Franz-Josef enter Knauf 1d and Jane Stihl 19 k. Felix Knauf Stihl and Ursula brought it even to 6 wins.
the bird shot, however, two 8k, which both get nine wins. Soind eight wins already an outrage, but to win equal nine times but somehow cheeky, right? Let them but indulgence. One of its many victims Zhang Kai He was 2 d from China, who wondered with certainty how this could happen. Zhang is also the winner of the sour cucumber 2010, because he not only lost his game against the 8k, but like all ten games of the tournament. That's what I call a successful Baghirov . I would probably be my Gokarriere after the 0-9 and the embarrassment hung on a nail against the 8k, would have gone home crying and would never be another Gostein touched. But Zhang size has shown, in the 10th Round also started today and has just as naturally, this is set in the sand. has a deserved winner of the sour pickle it been a long time.
If at the end only one conclusion to draw. Finland was definitely worth a visit. Without the Congress there I probably would never come there. Something strange that Finns already are. Despite relatively high alcohol prices (5-6 € per beer) and stagger on for maybe a few completely inebriated Finn through the streets. Lustig was the open convertible from the 60s, that we meet one night at midnight on the main road came. At least eight stark naked Finns were sitting on the frame and enjoyed the slow ride from Tampere. Some Gospielerinnen stood at the sight of the mouth is open very far. ;)
What also remains in memory, was the musical performance by professional Japanese Kozo Hayashi 6p (photo / JvDam ). In his lesson, he played a great serenade us on his guitar Okinawa, known Sanshin before. Kozo is not just a totally nice guy, but also a real champion on the three-sided guitar. Let any one who has not seen, has really missed something. All in all has once again made (except for my results) super fun and I'm looking forward to the next Congress, which held in 2011 in Bordeaux. Näkemiin Suomi, bonjour la France!

EGC Tampere - Round 9
The penultimate round was in Tampere and it was dominated by the young guard. The two leaders Artem Kachanovskyy 6d and 7d, it was Ilya Shikshin each question to maintain the top spot to the last round then possibly become European champions. But there can be only one! Knew that his time has Christopher Lambert as he left the ring with a Highlander box office. Artem met today of Ali Jabarin 5d. If you consider the age of both players, then missing still a few more years to achieve my own. My God, what am I go for an old bag! Artem could decide the game rather quickly for themselves. After just over a hundred trains he controlled such a large center that Ali had to give up. A short process also.
The course not escape Ilya, who had himself to solve Kim Chaelim 7d a much harder task. How nervous he was noticed by the fact that he all the time on the board back and Wibbelt. The match became increasingly difficult for him and also made him the early victory Artem properly under pressure. All in all, this was probably too much and in the end he had to the Koreans just give defeat.
This is Artem after 9 laps all alone at the top! Who would have thought that the Kogress? A sensdationelle performance! Whether this really goes to the European title, then shows begin on Saturday, where he is likely to be against the Kim JungHyeop 7d. This is a very serious chunks! He can not lose, because Ilya has more SOS points with a victory and would pass his turn to Artem. A super exciting final we can expect in the final round.
caused quite a stir for the match against Alexander Dinerstein 5p Rob van Zeijst 7d (Photo / JvDam ). Although it is practically only went for glory and honor is bestowed each player nothing. It even came to a head, as Rob's Clock expired without him noticing. The reason was that the ING-Clock was unfortunately muted. The summoned referee ruled that the match should continue and Dinerstein lost on points. Rightly, he presented a protest, because actually the case is clear. The players must be satisfied before the start of the game assumes that the Clock is set correctly. This is part of the skill level to easy, especially if you're a 7 d! The jury wants Congress before the start of the 10th Round again discuss how the game is to be valued now. Well, from the 7 d of fun to hear the Gospielen well. Good thing I sporting this altitude in this life probably not will achieve, because to me it's more down than up.
is very far down and Zhang Kai He 2d, our top candidate for the 2010 Sour Pickle arrived. In this round, he met Zdenek Kouba 8k from the Czech Republic, fewer than all his previous games won. 2d came on a par for an 8k. That could only mean one thing for the Chinese, either a dull game that was previously always been more than clear, or the total destruction, an absolute disgrace, the loss of face for the power of three. Zhang was here actually lose only what he actually did it too! What a disaster! After all, he has been able to decide definitively with this coup de grace, the race for the booby prize for himself. And so in a convincing way that even The King of embarrassment , Niyasi Baghirov, pale with envy.

EGC Tampere - Round 8
point of view it was from Bonn to report good news. The knob have won all three of their games, with Torsten his game won without a fight and was able to score against Felix Stihl Ursula 18k 19k. In the photo on the right is clearly evident that Felix despite vigorous reflection and the resulting red bulb was unable to prevent the defeat. Rainer befitting could prevail against the Japanese and Jane won sovereignty, also against a player from the land of the rising sun.
less confident, but more importantly for the Cup of the young man who was the Nierdelage by Zhang Kai He 2d against his direct Competitors, Olof Fridh 1d. Olof had zvor also only be able to win a game and threatened to catch up with a defeat to Zhang. Zhang saw his hand now clear conditions and is therefore close to the biggest win of his career-Go Congress. The most dangerous rival is now January Rueter-Budde became 2d, who is the leader with just one win all close behind. It would be nice now a direct final against Zhang Rueter-Budde. Somewhat unexpectedly even Matthias Terwey 4d at least still has theoretical chances of the cucumber. With two wins in the account is expected because although burn anything, however, stain with fame is different.
Only three rounds and the Congress is already over. We are more or less in the home stretch and slowly deals with the sausage. It could be interesting to see what surprise this round was ready. Ilya Shikshin 7d beat Cristian Pop 7d and threw it to the Romanians from the title race. The same happened Csaba Mero 6d, the opposite Artem Kachanovskyy 6d drew the short straw. And then it was time, the next sensation was in order. Ali Jabarin 5d (photo re,) defeated on board 1, the Korean Kang Kyoungnang 7d (photo, left)! Since from what goes in Tampere, when the Korean 7d lose now against European 5d. The placement of the swirls at the top of the table by each other quite a few players and costs unexpectedly a few much needed SOS points.
with the three guys who can keep up at all, was played out in the direct chasing. Alexander Dinerstein 5p played against Kim JungHyeop 7d and 6d against Cornel Burzo Kim Chaelim 7d. But there were no further surprises, and the Koreans made sure that losing Dinerstein and Burzo the connection up. For both the EM-train left and we will elect on Saturday a new European Champion 2010, when Alexander can no longer defend his title.

EGC Tampere - Round 6 & 7
started the second week of the main tournament for once without a huge surprise. (Photo by Jv Dam) All alleged top favorites coming through without any problems. Some of it had it even more easily, such as Rob van Zeijst 7d, who won against Tom Knauf 4d or 5p Taranu Catalin, who was "allowed" to compete against Laura Avram 2d and probably wondered how such a pairing could come about. Only in the match against Dinerstein 5p Kang 7d could be curious after notification of the solution, who is leaving the board as the winner. Kang was in the course of the game slightly in the lead and also brought this to the finish line, and meant "light guide" that she won at the end with 1.5 points. But while I think 1.5 points for a super tight result that is in the class of the top players likely to be a normal result, the winner was finally a full point buffer. Too bad for Alex, who had caught up after his first-round bust slowly but steadily to the top group. After this 6 Round, he already has two points off the previously undefeated Ilya Shikshin 7d.
The 7th Round, then waited again with a big surprise. When all already on the march to the European Championship Title Ilyas believed, he stumbled into the game against the young Artem Kachanovskyy 6d from Rivne, Ukraine. Who would have thought. Early on in the game, Ilya felt not comfortable in his skin because he kept striking uneasy at the board. The premonition proved true and he had to retire at the end. The defeat lißeß the non-existent smile frozen on his face. As Ilya Gospieler as so few actually never show emotion, one can only assume that he was pretty pissed off inside.
is now exciting it again in the title race. Three players, Shikshin, Kang and Kachanovskyy are, with 6 points right up there. Opportunities on the track have seven other players with 5 points. Get out of the race are Catalin Taranu 5p and Rob van Zeijst, both lost in round recast. Unexpectedly, it is another 5 d under these top 10, namely, Junior European champion Ali Jabarin 5d from Israel. Ali was able to prevail in a duel against another young star, Thomas Debarre 5d. One thing is already clear for me, the EGC 2010 is devoted to advancing the Go generation. This is also so slow time, for the last few years always saw the same faces on the podium.
Let's take another look at the lower regions. Of the players from the Bonn area, only six on the ground, the block of three and family Knaufsche Stihl / Ewert. All have up to Rainer 4 wins to their credit, a remarkable record. Rainer is lagging behind a little health hit, scored a point. He will catch up but certainly with Takechi Mochida 2d waiting in the next round opponent is the right structure for him.
Everything is also given in the scramble for the sour cucumber 2010th Here, in the course of the seven round played crystallized a single leading candidate. Zhang Kai He 2d from China could yet make her happy in all parts of his opponents and has never missed an advantage in his account. The hitherto sharpest fellow competitors, Alex Lee 3d of Taiwan, had already thrown in the towel on the weekend and is gone. It's enough just not to show the board his inability you have to be mentally fit and well kondtionell to be able to bring 10 rounds consistently miserable performance. Zhang still has three games to hold out until he may call the coveted trophy of his own.
was because of concerns that I belong because of my very modest results quickly become favorites in the wider struggle for the sour cucumber would, I am Diensatg early adopted by the EGC and roped in the direction of Tallinn. The capital of Estonia is a truly remarkable mittelaterliche old, that every visit I highly recommend. In the evening we went via Copenhagen home. Here come a really tears in his eyes, when prices for food and Drinks sees. For 10 € you can buy there almost a sandwich and a beer. As I said, almost!

Live from the EGC Tampere - Wochenendtunier
I sit here once again at my hotel, inn, sipping a beer and trying to blogging to me at the terminal remaining 30 minutes as much as is. Although there is free internet access at the venue, but no one is in a fix real hardware. Internet cafes are also in short supply. What I also greatly miss, is a central meeting place for the players, after all the games are finished. Somehow, everything goes here directly after the games and it is ruckzuck lonely furrow.
There would be to also report positive, but I now must first let off steam and complain, because I have totally cut off the crappy weekend tournament. Only one dinky game won and then only because my opponent is a dead group at the very end by Seki beat to life. What a disaster, what a frustration! Since it does not help that Rainer Ewert has won just as much. The least had an excuse because he is in poor health a bit. I do not know how much beer I drink today still has to give me the tournament to drink nice. Probably I am running or to the acid pickle 2010th Good thing I already Tuesday departure, otherwise the Cup would really matter to me. Speaking of Cup, those with a 4-1 or 5-0 on a book prize speculated, or the like, were bitter disappointment. final tournament won by the way Kim JungHyeop 7d. In entscheinden game he beat in the 5th Round Ilya Shikshin 7d, who finished in second place. Third was Thomas Debarre surprisingly 5d from France, which managed to defeat Alexander Dinerstein 3p. Mus be said already, the Congress has almost daily with sensational victories of young stars. Thomas has got it in for me, in a few years time myself to become European champions. Maybe even 2014, when Congress in Sibiu, Romania is taking place. The Romanians namely, the bid received from Russia. Originally, the Russians had tried to get the Congress to Sochi, but on Friday it was called then suddenly St. Petersburg. With 13:12 votes, the delegates have spoken out against Russia, but for the former Herrmann city.

final tournament won by the way Kim JungHyeop 7d.

Cheat On Pokemon Soul Silver
Live from the EGC Tampere - Round 4 and 5
On Thursday I had the coverage when it comes to games, be taken on the trip and the lack of internet at the venue to be canceled. Right now I'm sitting here at a makeshift Internet access in the hotel. The bartender has kindly provided his notebook. In return, I may order a beer with him. Beer is one of the luxury products here in Finland. My wheat last night tore a hole in my € 5.90-leave fund and that will probably not have been the last. Finland is generally more expensive than Germany. How it looks in the coming days with the live reporting, I know not explicitly.
But let us first briefly again on the fourth talking round in which Ilya Shikshin 7d (photo left) was already being talked about again, as he was able to defeat Catalin Taranu 5p. The boy is really on track to get his second European title after two tough competitors could already abknöpfen points. Another highlight was the victory of Tom Knauf 4d to 6d Kazuo Yoshihara in Japan. Now have been slow to start the 6d to tremble before him. So far that's come already. If you look closely at the table, it is even available long before Benjamin Teuber 6d. Good for you!
stood On Friday, the fifth round with the top game in general. Ilya Shikshin met also the only undefeated participant in the tournament, Kang Kyoungnang 7 d (right) from Korea. And what can I say, Ilya was and is unstoppable and defeated Kyoungnang also sensational! Who should or can ever stop him now for? As the only comes if, then only the reigning European champion Alexander Dinerstein 3p in question. Alexander also won his game and in this case Kim Chaelim 7d. The Koreans lost today So in a double and spieln highest nor the role of fellow competitors, but until more of the first violin in the title race.
After many thousands of kilometers arrival also today I was playing in my first game. Funnily enough I was able to ran against Pierre Chamot 1d from Cologne (and lose). Well, yes, Congress in 2012, Cologne, or rather held in Bonn, that's not so tragic, because the journey is only a few kilometers.
is worth mentioning villeicht nor the victory against Dimitri vonStefan Kaitschik 5d 6d Surin from Russia. So often the only way a not for me to beat a European 6d. Stefan is after five rounds of the best German ranks 18, followed closely by Torsten on a sensational 19th place! A little further down the table saw Ursula Knauf 18K for attention. Not only because it stands for a new victory now 4-1, but also because it is in their last match against Pauline Bailey 16 (UK) was high here. Since the stones flew almost across the board, at least it was fierce war of words. Ursula tried to be patient in her best English, the opponent with the words "It is not allowed to talk so loud!" to silence. I would have been happy, for I would be rare that there is such an emotional and is rather amusing for the audience outbursts on the boards.
was the evening at the annual meeting of EGF. What came out here, where the EGC occurs 2014 and how it goes with the EGC mode, I try to report tomorrow, because if I find a Inernetzugang. This is really the missing computers at the venue a shortcoming. Or am I spoiled some of the two meetings earlier in Leksand and Groningen? I do not find a free Internet access with hardware is simply a must.

Can You Fake A Heart Murmur
on to Tampere
Thursday am 5:00 clock. The alarm clock rings. What idiot made the alarm clock at 5? Slowly I wake up and realize that I was the crazy man himself. I have to get out of bed quickly, because in half an hour it starts to Finland. First, with the first tram to central station to Bonn, then by regional train to the airport in Dusseldorf. Iff all goes well, I'm on the clock check-in counter at 7:30.

Iff all goes well, I'm on the clock check-in counter at 7:30. Everything went well and I get up at seven fifty-five ready to fly in the departure hall. The flight to Helsinki is at 9 clock. Time enough, then, to first have breakfast extensively. For Goliteratur it is too early, but a newspaper without coffee vekraftet my brain but switched to emergency power already. For the flight itself, I made me a book titled 'senses of Finns' . One wants to come prepared to the north. The reading I recommend to everyone, because as he learns a lot about the neighbors in the north of Europe: "They live in the far north. You are constantly in the sauna. Million have cell phones and live with billions of mosquitoes. They speak little, and only after long pauses. The Finns are a quirky and funny little people."
clock 13:20, the plane landed without major incident, however, with 1 hour delay in Helsinki. Just once, I thought my neighbors would throw up, but then he caught himself after all. Lucky. Since I have only hand luggage, it goes very quickly to the exit. Maybe a little too fast, because the next bus to Tampere leaves until about an hour. I'm hungry and looking first for inserting what. Well, that Finland belongs to the Euro zone and I do not even have to change money. When it comes to Tallinn on Tuesday, things look different. The Finnish do not speak, I'm glad that everything is signposted in English. I authorize the second coffee of the day and would now actually fit for the first Gopartie. Tampere But more than two hours bus ride away, and far and wide, no serious rival to discover.
dips against 14:20 clock at last on the bus. I pay and get in, hoping to catch another 1-2 hours of sleep at night foregone. The idea was good, the implementation sucks. Although the roads are good, the bus rattles so much that I easy to get a wink. I tired to meet shortly before four in Tampere City. Since I had the day before the Satdt viewed with Street View on Google Maps, I know roughly where I long have. One can say about Google, what you want. As data octopus, the company is a sheer monster, but to virtually run with 360 ° lens through the streets of Tampere, which already was! Anyway, I go stomp towards congress center. The newly purchased Trolley makes no goat, and it's a nice walk in the bright sun. The forces are returning. Maybe I missed even a good amount of oxygen.
Registration is on a little tough to pay Schlater. Organizers were not well prepared that the participants can arrive even in the middle of the week. I try to sign up for the games on Friday and Monday. It even works flawlessly. This would be done and the most important thing to me now seven conference games are in four days. The first known faces appear and say hello . Here and there a chat is kept before my mind that I still must check in at hotel. Three-kilometer march to separate the venue from the hotel. I wonder what is probably bus in Finnish. Since I've been sitting all day but enough, I decide, but to walk. Another half hour later, I stand before my Accommodation, which I had also been looked at before yesterday by Street View.
The hotel is small but nice and I'm quite happy with the accommodation. In the evening it is still in the Go Congress tavern where Congress meets people for lack of alternatives. The place closes at 22 or 23 clock and there is also no way to dinner or to buy a drink. No matter'm already tired and say goodbye soon towards chest. On Friday it is then really started for me.

How To Change Sims 3 Liscense
travel arrangements Tampere
is in less than 6 hours of it going to the Go Congress in Finland. The Flights to Helsinki took only 2 ½ hours, but with all the trappings one is finally on the road 10 hours before you actually arrive at the venue in Tampere. The return journey takes longer, since an extensive stopover in Tallinn is scheduled to visit this beautiful city known as the Pearl of the Baltic. With all this back and forth I fly with three different airlines and airports to control six (Helsinki, Tampere, Riga, Tallinn, Copenhagen and Dusseldorf). does that sound almost like an odyssey. Help me to the flight a little life, I have decided to go this time with only hand luggage when traveling.
I just grab on and realize that such a carry-on luggage trolley can be darn small. Even as a man you get the suitcase up fast. For women are so small suitcases of volume, an even greater challenge. 6-8 pounds are allowed and is known to be supplied with excess baggage arrived murderous. I am glad that own excess weight is not even prosecuted. Now it is time to make a preliminary selection to the Take-away clothes. I opt for my favorite jeans, only to find that they must be wearing it since the last somehow shrunk since the top button is no longer correct. What a mess!
How many pounds can you actually remove one night? So when you are ready is to forego the dinner? Whether this is sufficient to tomorrow morning to fit in your pants? This question can not or will not answer me the waiting cheese sandwiches too. The silence of the bun is critical to making the pants anyway loses almost hopeless struggle. I have to stay after all your strength to survive the upcoming strenuous travel reasonably well. After the pack and the roll, we go immediately into the box. The night is always very short time, the alarm clock rings at 5. And then it says "Let's go to Tampere!

EGC Tampere - Round 3 Tampere
So slowly takes on the convention momentum. Three rounds are played and even if the chaff has not yet completely separated from the wheat, it can be derived from previous results, the first trends. For serious gamers, is that who is now 0-3 for the congress is as good as gone. This is not only the leaders in the case, even in the lower ranks then a false start the holiday mood spoil quickly. I went the year before last as if, after three consecutive defeats even the tastiest and strongest beer just rather bland taste. Well, maybe it was also the expiry date, but somehow there was no joy. Matthias Statzkowski 2d, 1d and Burkhard Uwe Lanz 1d Landskron this year are affected three German Danspieler that also bite this bullet need.
A free educational game was on the other hand Torsten Knauf 4d. As predicted yesterday, he could actually compete against Kim Jung Hyeon 7d. Have to get there was not for Tony. The air on the Gogipfel in Tampere is just very thin. Meanwhile, continue the upsets! The third round brought the third surprise victory, as the previous day was on board earned third This time the protagonist was Artem Kachanovskyy 6d (photo), Nachwuchstar from Ukraine. He achieved a sensational victory over Kim Chaelim 7d of Korea. One can appear to rely on nothing more if now give way even the otherwise invincible Koreans in rows. Whether a man yesterday's victory Ilyas still be described as an accident, it turns after another defeat as the legitimate, question whether the Europeans have the most technically actually made ground on the Asian semi-professionals well. These victories have in any case the outcome of this year's European Championships more than open, because in my opinion, now is no longer absolute favorite.
we come to the top game of the day. On board 1, there was the classic Rob van Zeijst 7d to 5p Catalin Taranu admire. The match was transmitted live via KGS and EuroGoTv and so you could at home (or work) cheer on the screen. Not as much action as the Football World Cup, but extremely exciting. According to the latest 100 trains were in 95% of viewers agreed that Black really could not lose. Catalin with white, had no territory and Rob points safe corners. But in the eyes of the Kyu and Niedrigdanspieler the Gowelt always looks different than in the fast or full professionals. Only when a 2p spectator against the trend, said that White would readily lead, a couple of lapwing were suspicious. How can it be so without a field? The upshot was that Catalin actually managed to win the game with 3 points for themselves.
On Wednesday traditional game break is announced. Normally, this is always my arrival for a one-week stay at the Congress. From for technical reasons it is this year but only starts on Thursday and already back on the following Tuesday. The participants already traveled will be announced on Wednesday backlash opportunity to explore the beauty of Tampere and the surrounding environment. The curious tourist attractions offer some opportunities on the ground: a boat trip on the Näsijärvi, various beach baths, the Spy Museum, etc.. Or you go to Helsinki to learn the Finnish capital a little better. But as I know the Gospieler, most will only rumlungern at the venue and play all day about Go. True to the motto that a healthy Gospieler unnecessarily Never remove more than 300 meters from the convention center.
